CN Bio Innovations features in Al Jazeera documentary “The Cure”

CN Bio Innovations, an expert in developing human organ-on-a-chip platforms, was featured in the 10 August 2015 broadcast of The Cure, an Al Jazeera network (AJN) documentary which looks at some of the world’s most intractable health problems.

Welwyn Garden City, UK, 11 August 2015: CN Bio Innovations, an expert in developing human organ-on-a-chip platforms, was featured in the 10 August 2015 broadcast of The Cure, an Al Jazeera network (AJN) documentary which looks at some of the world’s most intractable health problems, taking viewers on a journey from cutting-edge scientific breakthroughs to advances in affordable healthcare for those who need it most. The documentary is available to view here.

AJN broadcasts to more than 220 million households in more than 100 countries.

CN Bio Innovations was founded in 2009 to pioneer organ-on-chip platforms to accelerate the process of drug discovery.  Chief Operating Officer, Dr Emma Sceats, who is interviewed for the documentary said “CN Bio’s use of human cells to build miniature organs provides a more realistic prediction of how patients will respond to drugs. Our Quantum-B® model of hepatitis B infected liver is a great example of how these cutting edge technologies can replace lengthy and expensive animal tests speeding up the work of academic researchers and pharmaceutical companies in the search for a cure.”
