More about the MPS-TL6 consumable plate
Each Transwell compartment accommodates standard 24-well plate 0.33 cm2 Transwell® inserts.
Each liver compartment contains an embedded three dimensional scaffold which facilitates the creation of a 3D liver microtissue from primary human hepatocytes (and non-parenchymal liver cells), that mimics the architecture and function of its in vivo counterpart.
Transwell® and Liver compartments are linked together by an interconnect pump which enables independent recirculation of media from one compartment to the other to facilitate inter-organ crosstalk.
In conjunction with PhysioMimix OOC Multi-Organ System, the MPS-TL6 consumable plate can be used for a wide range of applications such as:
- ADME
- Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (PK/PD)
- Toxicology
- Immune interactions
MPS-TL6 consumable plates are suitable for organoids, spheroids, iPSCs, primary cells, immortalized cell lines and commercial inserts (such as MucilAir® or EpiSkin®).

In vitro to in vivo extrapolation using PBPK models
Combined with Physiologically-based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling, the PhysioMimix Multi-organ system and its MPS-TL6 consumable plate allow scientists to generate more translational datasets that more accurately represent a compound’s behaviour, ADME and toxicological profile.
