Role Requirements:
We seek a strategic and experienced Director of Finance, to join our team and lead the next phase of our growth. This hands-on role will contribute to the delivery of the financial plan by proactively providing relevant and timely financial information to Inform data driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of the day-to-day finance function including:
- Supervision of finance team
- Year-end reporting and leading the external audit
- Manage external and internal reporting
- Manage tax compliance and liaise with external tax advisors
- Ensure the day-to-day finance transactional work completed accurately and efficiently
- Own the ERP and FP&A systems and associated processes / controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, maintain accounting technical papers and lead the conversion of FRS102 to IFRS
- Ensuring strong controls are implemented across the business
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Monthly management reporting and analysis
- Treasury and working capital management
- Administration of the share option scheme
Finance Business Partnering:
- Work in close partnership with Group leads in a hands-on business partnering role
- Provide proactive and Informed financial analysis and Insight to assist business and data focused decision making to drive performance of the business
- Support the CFO in preparation of budgets and forecasting using FP&A system
- Support the CFO in the development of real time metrics and KPIs
- Ensure business receives high quality financial information to enable them to make effective decisions and deliver financial results
- Support the business to deliver their goals through provision of financial insight into functions, workstreams and projects
Strategic support to CFO:
- Defining and delivering the forward roadmap for finance
- Review of latest financial information to drive financial intelligence
- Ensuring strong systems of financial governance and controls are in place throughout the Group
- Providing insightful analysis, cost control, budgeting, treasury and cash management for the business
- Design and implement effective tax strategies
- Treasury Management, and forex
- Design and roll out policies
- Preparation of audit committee and board reports as appropriate
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with experience of working In an SME environment
- Enjoy working with non-finance and supporting an organisation’s growth
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to partner effectively with key stakeholders in all financial matters
- Strategic and analytical thinking with commercial acumen and decision making
