We have an open opportunity for a talented Content Marketing Manager to join our growing Cambridge-based team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in building our brand plan and delivering engaging content to our prospects and customers.
Role Description:
Content strategy planning
Draft and execute a content marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives.
Identify topics, trends, challenges, or objections to write to that will resonate with our target audiences.
Learn more about customer buyer journeys, identify and fill gaps with new content creation.
Collaborate internally to ensure stakeholder buy in and resource allocation where cross-discipline input is required on a calendarized basis.
Identify key performance objectives that demonstrate the success of content marketing efforts and inform future directions.
Stay up to date with industry and marketing trends to inform future plans.
Content creation and management
Position our company as a trusted resource and thought leader within the scientific community through impactful content.
Plan projects and manage task load in our project planning tool to ensure visibility and on time delivery.
Work with our SEO agency to ensure best practices are met when drafting content.
Collaborate with internal or external experts to collate the insights required for content production.
Draft the storyboards for video, or animated content and manage third party production agencies.
Produce high quality, scientific-led written content (e.g. case studies, infographics, white papers, blogs).
Distribute content via various channels including emailers, newsletters, social media posts, website and third-party journals.
Support our Science and Technology team with the production of application notes and posters by ensuring on-point messaging and branding.
Craft follow up email sequences to nurture leads from mass lead gen campaigns and web downloads.
Brand/Brand awareness
Maintain a high level of understanding about our portfolio of products, services, applications, target customers and competitors.
Write press release briefing documents for our public relations (PR) Agency and manage internal stakeholders to gain press release approval.
Liaise with our PR Agency to pitch for industry journal article placements.
Support our Event Coordinator by providing bespoke advertising content for e.g., conferences and webinars.
Responsible for producing new brochures and updating/producing content for new website pages in collaboration with internal experts.
Qualifications and experience:
Essential
- Degree level or equivalent in a biology discipline.
- A basic understanding of in vitro cell-based assays
- 3-5 years’ experience in content marketing or scientific/medical writing within the scientific or life sciences industry.
Desirable
- Prior experience working in drug discovery or development, or commercial roles targeting Pharma/Biotech.
- An in-depth deep understanding of in vitro 3D cell-based assays, or new approach methodologies (NAMs).
- Proven track record of success.

- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to distil complex scientific information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK at time of application (visa or settlement scheme)
- Candidates must be able to work at the CN Bio office in Cambridge UK at least one day/week.
Package
- Full-time/Permanent (37.5hrs/week)
- Salary: £40k – £45k depending on experience
